Desert Falcons Water Training – 14th September (Morning)

Bright and early on Saturday, September 14th, the Desert Falcons gathered at QD’s – Deira Creek for a morning training session. With the cool air and calm waters, it was the perfect setting to kick off the day with some solid paddling.

Call Time: 5:25 AM
Everyone arrived on time, stretching and getting ready for the challenge ahead. By 5:35 AM, we were loading up the boat, eager to hit the water.

Training Start: 5:50 AM
With Intan steering, the team was in good hands. The paddlers were ready to give their all, and you could feel the excitement in the air.

The Line-Up:

  • BOW (Pacer row): Tonette (Left), Jobai (Right)
  • Left: Aby, Khaled, Jacob, Dennis, Neil, Len, Ferdz, Rodie
  • Right: Osman, Yti, Richard, Chevy, Ruby, Bolz

Everyone worked hard to stay in sync, from the bow to the stern. The pacers set a strong and steady rhythm, and the rest of the team followed closely. With some gaps in the lineup, the paddlers had to dig deep, but they handled it with strength and determination.

Distance Covered:

We paddled an impressive 6,025 meters during this session, keeping a steady pace of 5:30 per 500 meters. The team stayed focused for 1 hour and 6 minutes, pushing through every stroke with a perfect mix of power and teamwork.

What Made This Session Special?

This training was all about endurance and keeping a steady pace. The team did an amazing job, even with a few gaps in the boat. Senior comeback like Rodie and seasoned paddlers like Bolz worked together seamlessly, making it clear that no matter the experience level, everyone’s effort counts.

It was great to see how the team rallied together, keeping up the energy and supporting one another throughout the session. By the time we finished, there were some tired arms but plenty of smiles and high-fives all around.

Wrapping Up:

Another successful session in the books for the Desert Falcons! We covered over 6 km and worked hard to improve our technique and stamina. Every training session brings us closer as a team, and this one was no different. Let’s keep this momentum going as we prepare for the next big challenge.

Great work, Falcons! See you all at the next training session! 🦅🚣‍♂️
