It was a perfect evening for water training at QD’s – Deira Creek! The Desert Falcons gathered for another exciting session, ready to paddle and push themselves harder than before.
Call Time: 7:15 PM
Everyone arrived bright and early, chatting and getting mentally prepared for the workout. By 7:15 PM, it was warm-up time. We stretched, shook off the day’s tiredness, and got ourselves ready for the water.
Loading Time: 7:40 PM
Everyone hopped into the boat, and at 7:30 PM, the training officially started. Our reliable steerer, Intan, led the team smoothly, making sure we stayed on course.
The Line-Up:
- Pacer :
- Left: Geo (NB), Mikko, Phelan, Khaled, Tonette, Jacob, Philip, Mahmoud, Mary Ann
- Right: JB (NB), JJ, Jan, Abu Zyad, Zaaiter, Ging, Joven, Newbie
We had some newbies on board, and they did an amazing job keeping up with the team’s pace. The more experienced paddlers like JJ and Khaled helped keep the boat steady, while everyone else powered through the session.
Distance Covered:
We covered an impressive 5,186 meters with a moving time of 59 minutes and 19 seconds. That’s nearly an hour of paddling! Our average pace was 5 minutes and 43 seconds per 500 meters—solid teamwork all around!
The session was all about working on rhythm and endurance. By the end, everyone was tired but proud. The newbies kept up the pace, and the experienced paddlers showed great leadership, making sure everyone worked together.
Wrapping Up:
After a tough but rewarding training, the team docked back at the shore, high-fiving and sharing stories from the session. It’s always great to see how much effort everyone puts in, no matter their experience level. Whether it’s a newbie’s first paddle or a veteran’s 100th, every stroke counts!
Well done, Falcons! Let’s keep up the hard work and continue building our strength as we prepare for the next big race. See you at the next training session! 🚣♂️
