Dubai Dragon Boat Training nights just keep getting better! The Desert Falcons once again hit the waters of Deira Creek for their 10th training session on 5th October 2025 of the 2025/2026 season and this one was epic from start to finish. 💪
The evening air was cool, the skyline glowed, and the Falcons Green jerseys lined up ready for another round of power, teamwork, and splash!
⚡ Power, Rhythm, and Team Spirit
By 7:00 PM, the crew began arriving at QD’s – Deira Creek, getting their gear ready and helping load the boat. The team started paddling at 7:30 PM sharp under the guidance of Coach Alain, who steered and motivated everyone through the hour-long workout.
The Desert Falcons completed a total of 5,507 meters in just 59 minutes and 59 seconds, as tracked by Mahmoud on Strava. That’s nearly six kilometers of pure dedication and focus on the water!
From the bow to the stroke, everyone gave their best. The lineup featured strong paddlers like Tonette, JJ, Mahmoud, Josh, Steve, Miguel, Dzaki, and Gin, alongside our energetic new members, all pulling in sync like a single heartbeat.
🌊 Why Dubai Dragon Boat Training Feels So Special
There’s something magical about dragon boating in the evening. The water reflects the golden glow of Dubai’s skyline, and every paddle feels more alive. The Dubai Dragon Boat Training sessions are not just workouts — they’re moments where teammates become family.
Coach Alain’s focus this session was on stroke synchronization and transition power — ensuring the team maintains pace through shifts in speed. Short sprints followed by endurance runs tested everyone’s stamina, but also brought laughter and a few splashes along the way.
💪 Progress You Can Feel
You could feel the improvement from the last few weeks. Every crew member showed better timing, stronger form, and tighter coordination. The boat glided smoother and faster through the water, showing just how far the Falcons have come this season.

As the session ended and the paddles came up for the final salute, there was one thing everyone agreed on, this was one of the best training nights yet.
