We started right on time, with a call time of 7:00 PM and a quick warm-up to loosen up the muscles. Under the guidance of our steerer, Intan, the crew loaded up at 7:25 PM and was ready to paddle at 7:30 PM. The Desert Falcons Lineup

With our paddlers set and ready, we had a solid lineup covering both the bow and stroke sides. Here’s how the team looked:

Bow Side (Left): Neil, Khaled, Cris C, Dennis, Paul, Radhi, Lambert & Babiker

Stroke Side (Right): Evie, Jobai, Chevy, Richard, Nafih, IS & Osman

The strong rhythm from the strokes and the steady pace from our pacers helped us cover a solid 6,371 meters in just over an hour. We started at 7:50 PM and kept moving until 9:05 PM, making the most of every minute. It’s this kind of dedicated water training that prepares us for race day. Staying Focused and Building Stamina

The night’s training session focused heavily on technique and endurance. We practiced syncing our strokes, fine-tuning our form, and building the stamina we’ll need for the intense race ahead. As the sun set, the team maintained a steady pace, working together as one powerful unit. It was incredible to feel the boat gliding through the water in perfect harmony, a true testament to the hard work we’ve put in during every water training session.

The Road Ahead

With only a dozen sessions left, it’s crunch time for the Desert Falcons. Each training session is a step closer to our goal at the EDBF. The crew is fully committed, and the energy is high. We’re excited to see how much more we can improve and are determined to give it our all on race day!

Stay tuned as we continue to share our progress. Go Falcons! 🦅
