The Desert Falcon crew returned to the creek on Sunday, September 28 for another powerful Dubai dragon boat training session. This was their 8th water training of the season, and once again, the team gathered at QD’s – Deira Creek for an evening filled with rhythm, endurance, and teamwork.
Wearing their Falcons Green jerseys, the paddlers reported at 7:00 PM, loaded by 7:25 PM, and were already cutting through the water at 7:30 PM sharp.
Guided by Coach Alain and Steerer Captain Intan
This session was led by Coach Alain, who focused on technique, timing, and getting the crew into rhythm. Alongside him was Captain Intan (IM), serving as the steerer, keeping the boat on course and ensuring smooth navigation through the waters of Deira Creek.
Together, they made a strong leadership pair—one guiding from inside the boat, the other steering from the back. Their teamwork set the tone for the session and gave paddlers the structure they needed to perform at their best.
At the front of the boat, pacers Tonette (left) and JJ (right) set the rhythm. Their job was to lead with consistent strokes, making sure the rest of the crew could lock in and follow.
Behind them, the lineup was filled with paddlers ready to grind:
- Dzaki and Josh holding the next seats.
- Borbe and Ging bringing steady power.
- Mc and IS in the middle, keeping the boat balanced.
- Gin and Newbie powering from the mid-rear.
- Zoe in the back row, holding strong.
It was a full crew of commitment, with a mix of experienced paddlers and newer faces finding their groove.
