The Desert Falcons Morning Paddle kicked off another high-energy training session at Deira Creek! On Saturday, March 22, the team, dressed in vibrant orange shirts, gathered for a powerful paddle session led by Coach Alain. This session wasn’t just about technique—it was about building endurance, teamwork, and getting race-ready for the upcoming ADMSC Dragon Boat Regatta 2025.
Kicking Off the Desert Falcons Morning Paddle

The team assembled at 5:45 AM, with everyone eager to hit the water. After a quick warm-up, paddlers loaded up at 5:55 AM, and by 6:00 AM, training was in full swing. Deira Creek’s calm waters and the cool morning breeze created the perfect conditions for a solid workout.
Today’s session had a strong mix of experienced paddlers and newcomers, all focused on sharpening their skills. With Steerer Alain guiding the crew, the Falcons set their sights on pacing, power, and synchronization—key elements that make a winning team.

Why Morning Training Matters for the Desert Falcons
A Desert Falcons Morning Paddle session isn’t just about distance and speed—it’s about discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness. The early morning waters at Deira Creek provided the perfect training ground for building endurance while staying focused on race preparation.
Morning paddles also bring a special kind of energy—nothing beats the feeling of slicing through the water as the sun rises, with teammates working in perfect harmony.

New Faces, Stronger Team
The Desert Falcons Morning Paddle was also a great opportunity to welcome two new paddlers, Coco and Jawar. Both are experienced in dragon boat racing but new to the Falcons, and they quickly adjusted to the team’s technique and paddling rhythm. Their commitment and energy were noticeable from the start, adding more strength and synchronization to the crew.
