Desert Falcon Water Training – 19th Nov (evening)

On Tuesday evening, November 19, the Desert Falcons returned to the tranquil waters of Deira Creek for another power-packed water training session. Dressed in their vibrant orange jerseys, the team was ready to put in the work as the race countdown continued.

Starting Strong πŸŒ™

The evening began with everyone arriving by 7:15 PM. Warm-ups kicked off at 7:30 PM, with paddlers stretching and preparing for the session ahead. By 7:40 PM, the team loaded into the boat under the guidance of Coach Intan, our skilled steerer for the night. At exactly 7:45 PM, we pushed off, gliding into the calm waters for an intense evening paddle.

With a mix of experienced paddlers and fresh faces, the team worked on synchronization and endurance. The lineup for the night was as follows:

Bow Side (Left):
Ferdz, Radhi, Khaled, Babiker, Neil, Dennis

Stroke Side (Right):
JJ, KF, Nafih, Lambert, Evie, Jobai, Ging, IS

The paddlers gave it their all, working in unison to cover an impressive 6,180 meters. The rhythm of the paddles hitting the water created a soothing yet powerful melody, a testament to the team’s hard work and focus.

Drills and Challenges πŸ’ͺ

The training focused on building stamina and mastering timing. With 1 hour and 8 minutes of moving time, the team practiced long-distance paddling and sprint bursts to simulate race conditions. Each drill tested their strength and coordination, ensuring everyone was race-ready.

We docked by 9:05 PM, tired but satisfied with the session. After some cooldown stretches and feedback, the paddlers left the creek, already looking forward to the next practice.
