Desert Falcons Water Training – 26th September (Evening)

On Thursday evening, September 26th, the Desert Falcons gathered at QD’s – Deira Creek for another exciting and challenging water training session. The evening was cool, and the water was calm, making it a perfect setting for paddling practice.

Call Time: 7:00 PM
The team arrived on time, ready to warm up and get started. By 7:15 PM, everyone was stretching and preparing for the workout ahead. At 7:25 PM, the boat was loaded, and by 7:30 PM, we were paddling through the creek.

Steerer: Intan
Intan led the team through the session, ensuring everyone stayed in rhythm and on course. Her calm guidance always keeps the boat steady and the team focused.

The Line-Up:

  • Pacers: Khaled (Left) and Joven (Right)
  • Left: Ferdz, Philip, Tonette, Jacob, Mary Ann, Mahmoud, Aby
  • Right: Jobai, Ruby, Lambert, JJ, Ging, Glen, Alnita, IS

The pacers, Khaled and Joven, set a strong pace from the front, helping the team stay synchronized. Synchronization is key in dragon boat racing, and the team worked hard to move as one unit. Distance Covered:

We paddled 4,291 meters in 44 minutes and 12 seconds. It was a solid session focused on building endurance and improving technique. The newbies (NB) gave it their all, and the more experienced paddlers helped guide them through the session.

What Made This Session Special?

This session was all about teamwork and helping new members learn the ropes. The combination of experienced paddlers and newcomers made it a great learning experience for everyone. Wrapping Up:

By 8:46 PM, we were back on shore, feeling accomplished and proud of our effort. The team spirit was high, with lots of smiles and high-fives all around. It was another great session for the Desert Falcons!
