It was another exciting evening for the Desert Falcons on Thursday, October 3rd, as the team gathered at QD’s – Deira Creek for our regular water training. The cool evening air made it perfect for paddling, and everyone was ready to give their best!
Call Time: 7:00 PM
Everyone arrived on time, full of energy and ready to go. By 7:15 PM, we started our warm-up, stretching out and getting prepared for the hard work ahead.
Loading Time: 7:25 PM
The boat was loaded quickly, and by 7:35 PM, we were paddling through the water with full focus.
Coach/Steerer: Coach Alain
Coach Alain led the team smoothly, ensuring that everyone stayed in sync and pushed their limits.
The Line-Up:

- Right: Amjad, Glenn, Alnita Chevy, Ging, Mahmoud, JJ, Jobai, IS, Lambert, Cenon (NB), JB
This session saw 8 pairs with 3 crew exchanges, allowing paddlers to switch partners and stay dynamic throughout the practice. The pacers from the last session, Jerome, Ferdz, JJ, Tonette, Matt, and Glenn, set a steady pace, making sure the rest of the team followed their rhythm.
What We Covered:
The team covered an impressive distance during the training. Each exchange brought new energy, and the focus remained on maintaining synchronization and endurance. Paddlers were encouraged to adapt to their new partners, which helped build flexibility and teamwork.
What Made This Session Special?
The highlight of this session was teamwork and adaptability. With the crew constantly switching up, everyone had to adjust quickly and stay in sync. Whether you were a seasoned paddler like Jerome or trying out a new position like Cenon, it was all about working together and keeping the boat moving smoothly.
Wrapping Up:
By 9:05 PM, we wrapped up the session with smiles and tired arms. It was a fantastic evening of hard work and team bonding, showing once again why the Desert Falcons are such a strong crew.
