From 12–14 December 2025, teams from across Europe and the UAE will gather at the Jewel of the Creek, one of Dubai’s most scenic waterfront destinations, for three days of exciting races, camaraderie, and celebration of the sport we love.

The Jewel of the Creek sits right where old Dubai meets the new — a beautiful mix of culture, water, and modern cityscape. This venue, surrounded by hotels, shops, and restaurants, offers the perfect backdrop for paddlers and spectators alike.

The event will feature top-tier teams from around the world, with Dubai proudly hosting this international championship-level regatta under the guidance of Siren Dragon Boat and the European Dragon Boat Federation (EDBF).

The Desert Falcons left a lasting mark at the EDBF Euro Cup 2024, held at the same venue from 5–8 December 2024. Competing against some of Europe’s best, the Falcons showcased grit, teamwork, and true determination on the international stage.

From the opening heats to the final sprints, every paddle stroke told a story of effort, unity, and heart.

🚣 Races and Format

Get ready for intense competition across two distances:

• 200m Sprint Races – Fast, powerful, and full of energy.
• 2000m Endurance Races – Long-distance strategy and stamina.

Both distances will be open for Open, Women, and Mixed crews in the following racing classes:

• Premier
• Senior A (no points allocation)
• Under 24 (no points allocation)

Each crew will paddle in small boat format, following the IDBF Competition Regulations (Edition 9.0, 2025) to ensure fair and standardized racing for everyone.

🦺 Safety and Fair Play

All paddlers must be water competent and able to swim at least 50 meters unaided.
Life vests (PFDs) are mandatory for all competitors — Siren Dragon Boat will have enough available on-site for those who need one.

Lifeguards and paramedics will also be stationed throughout the venue to ensure everyone’s safety during the event.
