Resilient Falcons: Dubai Dragon Boat Training Night #11 at Deira Creek

The Desert Falcons were back on the water once again: strong, focused, and relentless. On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the crew gathered at Deira Creek, ready for another Dubai Dragon Boat Training session that tested both stamina and teamwork.

The evening started just as the city lights began to glow across the creek. By 7:00 PM, everyone was in position; by 7:25 PM, boats were loaded; and by 7:30 PM, paddles hit the water in rhythm. You could feel the energy, calm confidence mixed with excitement.

πŸ¦… Led by Coach Alain and Steered by Captain Intan

With Coach Alain guiding the training plan and Captain Intan (IM) steering, the Falcons focused on control and endurance. The session emphasized long, consistent pacing and clean synchronization, the kind of steady grind that builds power over time.

The water at Deira Creek was smooth, with a light evening breeze adding a touch of challenge. Every round felt stronger than the last.

πŸ’š Team Line-Up in Action

Wearing their signature Falcons Green, the lineup was a mix of experienced paddlers and energetic team players.

At the front, Tonette and JJ took charge as pacers, setting the rhythm with confidence. Mc, Nandu, and Julie kept the middle section tight and steady, while the power seats were anchored by Neil, IS, Dennis, Ging, and Gin.

Every stroke mattered, from the first pull to the last call and the crew moved as one solid unit.

πŸš£β€β™€οΈ Team Performance Report

It was another strong session of Dubai Dragon Boat Training, focused on maintaining pace over long distances.
While each paddler’s Strava data varied slightly due to start and stop differences, the team’s consistency was evident across the board:

  • IS logged 6.47 km in 1h 19m – consistent performance and smooth pacing throughout.
  • JJ recorded 6.22 km in 1h 16m – solid endurance and rhythm from the front.
  • IM tracked 6.48 km in 1h 18m – excellent steering and strong closing effort.

Small differences in distance, but one shared effort β€” pure teamwork in motion.

⚑ Training Highlights

Over 6 kilometers of focused paddling pushed the team closer to race-level endurance. It wasn’t about speed this time; it was about keeping the heart rate steady, maintaining stroke rate, and locking in that muscle memory.

The Dubai Dragon Boat Training nights like this are what define the Falcons β€” grit, rhythm, and that signature β€œnever stop” attitude.
