The Desert Falcons once again proved their passion and perseverance during another Dubai Dragon Boat Training session on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at QD’s Deira Creek. With the city lights reflecting off the calm waters, the Falcons gathered for an intense evening dedicated to building strength, teamwork, and endurance.
This session marked another important milestone for the Falcons as they continued sharpening their form and technique under the leadership of Captain Intan (IM), who also steered the boat for the night.
💪 The Falcon Spirit on the Water
Despite a slightly delayed start due to midweek traffic, the energy on the dock was electric. The call time was 7:15 PM, with loading at 7:35 PM and the training kicking off at 7:45 PM sharp. Dressed in their signature Falcons Green jerseys, the crew pushed off into the shimmering waters of Deira Creek, ready to give their all.
Leading from the front were Mahmoud and JJ, setting the rhythm and keeping the pace strong. Right behind them, Neil and Julie stayed perfectly in sync, focusing on power and timing. Dennis and Paolo anchored the middle section with controlled pulls, while Nand, Gin, and Mc maintained balance and rhythm through the second half of the boat.
Among the crew, IS recorded an impressive performance, covering 5,076 meters over 1 hour and 16 minutes of focused paddling, a testament to the consistency and endurance that defines every Falcon.
🌊 Focus and Endurance Drills
Under IM’s guidance, the team concentrated on endurance pacing and blade synchronization. Through power sets, sprint bursts, and steady-timed runs, the Falcons worked on maintaining form while controlling their breathing and timing.
As their paddles sliced through the water under the night sky, every stroke carried the same message — teamwork, precision, and resilience. The city lights danced on the ripples, creating a perfect backdrop for yet another determined training session.
🔥 A Testament to Dedication
Each Dubai Dragon Boat Training night brings new lessons, and this one was no exception. Despite midweek fatigue, every Falcon showed up, ready to push limits and lift each other. The drills may have tested endurance, but they also strengthened trust and connection, the true power behind every successful race.
As the crew glided back to the dock, laughter and quiet satisfaction filled the air. Another night, another reminder that progress doesn’t always come in giant leaps, but through steady, unstoppable strokes forward.
