The Desert Falcons were back on the water for another solid session at Deira Creek. It was Sunday evening, the perfect time to close the week with focus, teamwork, and a few thousand meters of paddling.

The call time was set for 7:00 PM. By 7:25 PM, the crew had the boat loaded and ready to go. Right at 7:30 PM, the strokes began. Dressed in their classic Falcons Green jerseys, the team gathered under the guidance of Coach Alain, who steered and kept everyone sharp throughout the training.

The Lineup

Here’s how the seats looked for this practice:

The boat was filled with a good mix of familiar faces and fresh energy. Up front, new paddler Mc joined another newbie, both eager to dip their paddles into the rhythm of the crew. Tonette and Ging held steady in the early seats, while Dzaki and Anmol (NB) showed solid effort side by side.

A little further back, Josh teamed up with another newcomer, and JJ kept things lively with a newbie partner. Steve and Gin brought balance in the middle, adding that steady push the boat needed. Behind them, Mahmoud and Radhi powered through with experience. Finally, Intan (IM) and IS closed things out at the back, making sure every stroke carried the Falcons forward.

It was fun to see the blend of old and new paddlers. The energy in the boat felt fresh, and every seat added something special to the session.

Training Highlights

The Falcons covered a total distance of 6,506 meters with a moving time of 1 hour, 11 minutes, and 57 seconds. That’s no small feat. The session was filled with steady pacing, bursts of power, and drills to fine-tune timing.

One highlight was seeing the new paddlers blend with the experienced crew. It’s not always easy to jump into a dragon boat, but they handled it with courage. With guidance from Coach Alain and encouragement from teammates, the rhythm began to flow seat by seat.

For the veterans, this training was about consistency. For the new members, it was about building confidence. Together, the boat moved as one.
