Desert Falcon Water Training – 23rd Nov (Morning)

On Saturday morning, November 23, the Desert Falcons came together for an exciting training session at QD’s – Deira Creek. Wearing their striking green jerseys, the team arrived early, ready to hit the water with energy and focus. With race day approaching fast, every stroke on the water counts!

A Fresh Start to the Day ๐ŸŒ…

The team gathered at 5:30 AM, shaking off sleep with warm-up exercises by 5:35 AM. Everyone stretched, moved, and prepped their muscles to tackle the challenges ahead. By 5:55 AM, the paddlers loaded into the boat under the guidance of Intan, our steerer for the day. At exactly 6:05 AM, the team set off, paddling into the calm, cool morning waters of Deira Creek.

The team worked hard to maintain synchronization as Manny and Ferdz led the charge from the front. Each pair of paddlers kept the rhythm alive, balancing strength and technique to ensure smooth, powerful strokes.

Drills and Distance Goals ๐Ÿ’ช

The session focused on endurance, speed, and team coordination. Over 1 hour and 20 minutes, the team paddled an impressive 7,378 meters. The drills emphasized race starts, long paddling stretches, and short bursts of speed. Every paddler gave their best effort, pushing through each wave and stroke with determination.

Coach Greig guided the boat with precision, offering advice on timing and paddle depth. The training wasnโ€™t just about physical strengthโ€”it was also about building trust and unity among the crew.

By 8:00 AM, the Falcons returned to shore, tired but accomplished. After docking the boat, the team cooled down with stretches and shared feedback on the session. With every training, the Falcons edge closer to peak performance, proving their commitment to excellence on the water.
